TVN Warner Bros. Discovery Market Leader in July

In July 2023, TVN group Warner Bros. Discovery maintained its position as a leader in the media market. Last month it achieved a share of 23.8% in commercial audiences 20-54. The channels of TVN Warner Bros. Discovery were the most popular stations among viewers in July.

The TVN station once again topped the Big5 ranking with an SHR of 8% in the 20-54 group. For the TVN7 channel, it was a record July ever (SHR 20-54: 4.20%). The TVN24 station maintained its leading position among news channels both in the commercial audience 20-54 (SHR 3.6%) and in the 4+ group (SHR 5.5%). The lifestyle channel TVN Style (SHR 0.5%) also dominated its thematic category in the 20-54 group.

TVN Warner Bros. Discovery maintained its dominant position as the leader of the 20-54 commercial group, achieving a market share of 23.8% last month.

The TVN channel reached a share of 8% in the commercial audience, maintaining its first place among TV stations in Poland. The July list of traditionally largest channels was closed by TVN7, with a share of 4.20% in the 20-54 audience. In terms of viewership, it was a record July in the history of this channel.

In particular, I congratulate the journalists of “Facts” and “Notes” on their excellent viewing figures. I would also like to draw attention to the popularity of Seven, which once again confirms its place among the most watched channels,” said Bogdan Czaja, Group Vice President of Programming and Operations at TVN Warner Bros. Discovery.

The most popular program in the TVN station’s July schedule was “Facts.” The July 17 edition attracted more than 2.1 million viewers (SHR 4+: 21.8%). The second most-watched proposal was the intervention magazine “Attention” – the material aired on July 13 was watched by more than 1.6 million people (SHR 4+: 15.6%). Numerous viewers of more than 1.3 million were gathered in front of the screens by the film “Colombiana” (SHR 4+: 12.5%), securing third place for this production.

The summer edition of the breakfast program “Good Morning Vacation” reached a market share of 9.4% in the 20-54 demographic group in July 2023.

TVN’s dominance of Warner Bros. Discovery in the news category

TVN’s “Facts,” which runs for 34 minutes, has traditionally been the leader of evening news programs. On the air, TVN and TVN24 BiS garnered 22.8% of viewers in the 4+ group and as much as 24.7% in the 20-54 target group.

In July, TVN24 was the most-watched news channel in Poland. Last month, the station achieved a 5.5% market share in the 4+ group and 3.6% in the commercial group. The broadcaster’s entire news portfolio – TVN24 and TVN24 BiS – achieved a 6% share among all viewers.

The popularity of TVN’s VOD offering Warner Bros. Discovery

In July, the VOD portfolio of TVN Warner Bros. Discovery, which consists of the HBO Max, Player and VOD.pl platforms, had more than 5.9 million Real Users. This gave the group the second position in the Polish market. In the past month, series were particularly popular on HBO Max: “And just like that…”, “From There” and “Idol”. In turn, viewers of the Player platform were most likely to watch: “Hotel Paradise All Stars,” “Kitchen Revolutions” and the series “Fall.”

TVN Warner Bros. Discovery with great results in digital

The reach of all platforms and sites of TVN Warner Bros. Discovery in July 2023 amounted to nearly 15 million Real Users, or nearly 50% of active Internet users in the country. The TVN24.pl portal was the clear leader among news station websites last month, with a reach of 36.1%. The other largest and most popular brands of the media market leader in Poland achieved reach at: TVN.pl – 17.1%, including dziendobry.tvn.pl – 12.8%, HBO Max – 10.9%, Player – 7.7%, VOD.pl – 3.9%.

The huge success of Warner Bros’ latest film production.

Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, the film “Barbie” premiered on July 21 on nearly 500 screens in almost 300 cinemas in Poland. In its opening weekend in our country, the production attracted a record 493,000 viewers – more than any other film debuting this year so far, thus taking the top spot on the Box Office 2023 list. The number of “Barbie” viewers in Poland is expected to exceed 2 million in the coming days.
