Player.pl is developing the news zone, there will be more and more content for Ukrainians. “We want to give them access to information and support”

The Player.pl website plans further development of the news zone, in which recently, inter alia, Streaming of the Ukraine 24 channel has appeared. The platform will feature more programs aimed at Ukrainians, and will most likely be available free of charge. The website also plans to introduce a variety of content aimed at bringing Ukraine closer to Poles, the Wirtualnemedia.pl portal has learned. – We see a great demand for news among our users – says Maciej Gozdowski, head of Player.pl.

Player.pl website at the end of last year. launched a news zone, in which he published a number of news programs (including steaming TVN and TVN24 BiS and numerous news and current affairs programs as well as documents).

It was related to viewers’ needs for news content, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, the number one topic in the media is the situation in Ukraine. For this reason, Player.pl plans to introduce further programming items in the section.

– At the end of the year, we launched a special news zone in Player, which includes a number of information programs. We will develop it further in the near future, because we see a great demand for news among our users. As the largest local VOD platform, we can react to the situation on an ongoing basis and respond to the needs of our users – comments Maciej Gozdowski, head of Player.pl, to the Wirtualnemedia.pl portal.

More and more content for Ukrainians

Player.pl on Saturday, February 26 this year. launched a streaming of the Ukraina 24 channel, which is available free of charge and without logging in. On the other hand, from Tuesday, animations for children with Ukrainian dubbing and subtitles are available on the website. You can watch the cartoons free of charge.

– At the end of February – just two days after the attack on Ukraine – we launched the Ukraine 24 channel on our platform. At the beginning of March, Player, courtesy of the Paramount media group (formerly Viacom CBS), debuted a collection of fairy tales in Ukrainian. Both the Ukraina 24 channel and the cartoons are available for free and without logging in, on any device. We wanted to give refugees access to information in this difficult period, and to show them our unconditional support, says Maciej Gozdowski.

Player.pl will continue “Chyłka”. “We want to give our viewers something else” On March 1, the website debuted a series of 26 short documentaries devoted to Ukrainian heritage – “Strong Together”. It consists of a series of short films devoted to Ukrainian culture, traditions and customs from their beginnings to the present day.

According to our information, more content for Ukrainians is to appear on Player.pl. Work is currently underway in this area. The next broadcasts will most likely also be available free of charge and no login.

The Wirtualnemedia.pl portal has also determined that the website is also planning to introduce new content that will bring Ukraine closer to Poles. It is possible that movies or series produced by Ukrainian broadcasters will be added to the platform. Talks on the topic are currently underway.
