Medical aid reached Kiev
TVN24 reporter in Kiev Tomasz Kanik spoke with Polish volunteers who had delivered the aid to the capital of Ukraine. One of them, Robert, underscored that it was an international effort. “Thanks are in order for doctors of Ukrainian origin living in Berlin,” he said.
– During the encirclement of Hostomel, Irpień and Bucza, we were taking these things to [those-ed.] Cities. One thing has not been lost here, one shoelace from a shoe, the work is so beautifully done. There are doctors in our battalion who sort it all – he said.
“We were delivering such things to Hostomel, Irpin and Bucha when they were under siege. Not a single item went missing, not even a shoelace – that’s how smooth this job was done,” he added.
Asked what was in the ambulances, one of the volunteers named Maciek said that it was hospital equipment. “An operating table, wheelchairs, food, medicines, dressing, bandages,” he listed.
