News of the appointment of Thomas Rose as the new US ambassador to Poland emerged Thursday evening. The decision was commented positively by President Andrzej Duda, who had the opportunity to meet with the newly appointed ambassador about two months earlier. “It was clear from this conversation that he is a man who sympathizes with our country, who likes Poland,” the president said. “I am pleased and satisfied to accept this appointment. I hope that cooperation with Mr. Ambassador will go well.” – Andrzej Duda added.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk reacted with calmness. “My attitude to the new ambassador will be characterized by cordiality and patience, that’s without question. He represents a country with which we are friends.” – He commented.
