“Fakty” was watched by over a million more viewers in April than the “7:30 PM” news service. TVN gained viewers, while TVP’s main news program lost them. Republika’s daily “Dzisiaj” also saw a significant decline.

“Fakty” on TVN and TVN24 BiS was watched by an average of 2.56 million viewers in April 2026, which is more than one in five viewers with their TVs on at the time. The service’s audience was 9.9 percent higher than a year earlier, according to Nielsen Audience Measurement data. The program, broadcast daily at 7:00 PM, has been the audience leader among evening news programs for many years.

Half an hour later, viewers can watch “7:30 PM,” the successor to “Wiadomości.” Its viewership on TVP1, TVP Info, and TVP Polonia last month reached 1.42 million viewers, a year-on-year decline of 12.45 percent. The program’s market share was 12.03 percent.

Meanwhile, the audience for “Wydarzenia,” broadcast on the main Polsat channel and the Wydarzenia 24 channel at 6:50 PM, fell from 1.37 million to 1.33 million over the course of the year. The service had an 11.98% market share.

720,000 viewers of the Republika website

April viewership for Republika’s “Today” (starting at 7:00 PM) reached 720,000 . That’s 16% less than a year earlier. The program typically runs until around 8:20 PM, making it three times longer than the shows on TVN, Polsat, or TVP1.

Republika itself has not been doing well lately – in April it lost its leading position among news channels to TVN24 .

Broadcast at 7:30 p.m., “Wiadomości wPolsce24” gathered an average of 190,000 viewers.

The decline in news program audiences in April may have been influenced by the fact that a year ago they focused heavily on covering the presidential campaign .

“Fakty” also led the way among those aged 20-54 , but only slightly exceeded one million viewers. A year earlier, it had a much lower audience of 880,000.

“Wydarzenia” came in second with 610,000 viewers (a 3.8% increase), “19:30” attracted 400,000 viewers (a 19% drop), and “Today” attracted 140,000 (a 15.9% drop). “Wiadomości” wPolsce24 has an audience of 30,000.

The data presented includes live audience, VOSDAL (programs recorded and viewed on the same day), and out-of-home (OOH) viewership. Evening news programs are included in the breakdown.
