During a press conference after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, President Andrzej Duda spoke in favor of NATO countries issuing an invitation to Ukraine to join the North Atlantic Alliance.

President Andrzej Duda stated that from the point of view of Ukraine’s security, the most significant are the issues of guarantees that NATO countries can provide. “The greatest guarantee would be Ukraine’s admission to NATO and guarantees related to Article 5. We all realize that inviting Ukraine to NATO will only be possible after the end of the war. However, I unequivocally support inviting Ukraine to NATO,”.

At the conference, Duda also mentioned the important role of Polish entrepreneurs in rebuilding Ukraine after the war. “We hope that when the war ends, Polish entrepreneurs will participate in the process of rebuilding Ukraine. We are a transit country for Europe, our participation is a key issue, I hope that all meetings here will strengthen the initial provisions in this regard.”
