TVN 24 is the leader of news channels
In February, TVN 24 was the leader among news channels in the general 4+ and commercial 16-59 groups. TV Republika moved up to second place.
TVN 24 (TVN Warner Bros. Discovery) in the general 4+ group had an average of 6.96 percent. share in the television audience market compared to 4.84 percent a year before. The second was TV Republika (Telewizja Republika), which gained after suspending the broadcast of the propaganda TVP Info at the end of December. It recorded an average of 3.13 percent. share compared to only 0.1 percent in February a year earlier.
Third was Polsat News (Polsat Plus Group) – 1.64%. (1.7% in February 2023). Terrestrial TVP Info (Telewizja Polska) fell to fourth place – 1.35%. (down from 4.82% a year earlier).
The next positions were taken by:
- terrestrial Events 24 (Polsat Plus Group) – 1.02 percent (increase from 0.64%),
- TVN 24 BiS (TVN Warner Bros. Discovery) – 0.58 percent (increase from 0.54%),
- terrestrial Polsat News Polityka (Polsat Plus Group) – 0.45 percent (the channel broadcasts from January 10),
- Telewizja wPolsce.pl (Fratria) – 0.36 percent (increase from 0.03%),
- Polsat News 2 (Polsat Plus Group) – 0.09%. (down from 0.11 percent)
- and Biznes24 (Tier Investment) – 0.01 percent. (without changes).
In June 2023, monitoring of the News 24 (Astro) channel was suspended – due to the broadcaster’s payment arrears to Nielsen Media.
In the commercial group 16-59, the TVN 24 channel had an average of 4.62%. share (increase from 3.31%), TV Republika – 1.77%. (0.05% a year earlier), and Polsat News – 1.21%. (down from 1.31%). TVP Info was only fifth in this group (0.71% compared to 2.30% a year earlier). It was also overtaken by Events 24 (0.83% compared to 0.59% in February 2023).
