TVN 24 is the leader of news channels

In September, the leader of news channels in the general 4+ and commercial 16-59 groups was TVN 24. Republika moved up to second place.

In the general 4+ group, TVN 24 (TVN Warner Bros. Discovery) had an average 6.56 percent share in the television audience market, compared to 5.52 percent in September a year earlier.

Second was Republika (Telewizja Republika), which gained after the suspension of the propaganda TVP Info at the end of December. Republika recorded a 4.66% share, compared to only 0.11% a year earlier.

Third place was taken by the terrestrial TVP Info (Telewizja Polska) with 2.08 percent (down from 5.33 percent), and fourth by Polsat News (Polsat Plus Group) with 1.74 percent (up from 1.64 percent).

Next were: terrestrial Wydarzenia 24 (Polsat Plus Group) – 1.26% (up from 0.77%), terrestrial wPolsce24 (Fratria) – 0.8% (up from 0.04%, until September 1 the Telewizja wPolsce.pl channel broadcast in the wPolsce24 location, but it was not available terrestrially), TVN 24 BiS (TVN Warner Bros. Discovery) – 0.57% (up from 0.53%), terrestrial Polsat News Polityka (Polsat Plus Group) – 0.17% (the channel has been broadcasting since January 10), Polsat News 2 (Polsat Plus Group) – 0.09% (down from 0.12%), Biznes24 (Tier Investment) – 0.01%. (no change) and Pogoda24.TV (MWE Networks) – below 0.01 percent (the channel has been broadcasting since March 1).

Most news channels saw an increase in viewership due to hours of coverage of the floods in southwestern Poland.

News 24 (Astro) is not monitored by Nielsen Media.

In the commercial group 16-59, the TVN 24 channel had an average share of 4.66% (up from 3.61%). Republika’s share was 2.21% (0.05% a year earlier), TVP Info – 1.54% (down from 2.65%), Polsat News – 1.32% (up from 1.26%), Wydarzenia 24 – 1% (up from 0.67%), and wPolsce24 – 0.5% (0.01% a year ago, when Telewizja wPolsce.pl broadcast).
