Marcy Kaptur, a Polish-born member of the American Congress and co-chair of the team for Ukraine in the House of Representatives, said in an interview with TVN24 BiS that “Poland is giving a lesson to the world” in helping a war-stricken country. – Ukraine is the home of the free, the home of the brave. Marcy Kaptur, of Polish roots, is a member of the American Congress and co-chair of the cross-party Team for Ukraine in the House of Representatives. Team members visited Poland, and earlier also in Germany. They held a series of meetings with representatives of the authorities to help Ukraine.

– First of all, I came here to thank the Poles for their courage and determination in the fight for freedom against tyranny. I think that Poland once again stands out in front of the whole world because of the way it receives refugees from Ukraine. I am convinced that most of them came here only temporarily. But you are giving a lesson to the world, Poland is giving a lesson to the world. That is why I decided to come here to thank the Polish government, the nation and the entire region of Central Europe – she said in an interview with Jan Niedziela from TVN24 BiS.

She pointed out that “Putin’s attack on freedom has repercussions in the world.” She added that, from a moral perspective, the Russian president “has already lost”.

– However, when it comes to supplies, when it comes to the possibility of carrying out the task, we, NATO countries, have signed an agreement. It really is all about protecting NATO members. You can see for yourself that it takes some time for European states and Europe to understand what this attack is about, what this war in Ukraine is about – continued Marcy Kaptur.

– The Ukrainian nation shows itself what it is like. He fights for freedom just as Poland has fought for freedom for so long. And they will win because there is a free world behind them. Marcy Kaptur stated that “many Americans, especially the younger generation, are seeing something like this for the first time.” As she said, “this battle tells us that each generation must be prepared and we must defeat this enemy.” – Ukraine teaches the world, gives the lessons that Poland adopted a long time ago – she emphasized. – I don’t think anyone expected this invasion until we saw the soldiers who were gathering on the Russian side of the border. But I think it will be the end of Russia as we know it, that we will move to a new era. The young generation will have to take over the action towards freedom (…) – she continued.
