TVN Group Discovery and Polska Akcja Humanitarna have collaborated to help those fleeing the war and those still in need of support in Ukraine. – We want to make people aware that the support shown to refugees and people suffering from the war in Ukraine must be professional and long-term – comments Dorota Żurkowska, member of the board of TVN Grupa Discovery.

TVN Group Discovery, as a media patron, will support PAH in long-term fundraising for key aid activities in the coming months. Viewers will be encouraged to support the Polish Humanitarian Action both through television programs and social announcements on the Group’s stations, as well as online channels.

– In a situation of war, the media has a very important and responsible role to play – we must not only counteract the powerful weapon of disinformation, but also educate and engage the society to help all those in need. We have been doing it since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, and now, as TVN Group Discovery, we also want to make people aware that the support shown to refugees and people suffering from the war in Ukraine must be professional and long-term – comments Dorota Żurkowska, member of the board of TVN Grupa Discovery.

Experts of the Polish Humanitarian Action will regularly host on TVN Grupa Discovery to share their knowledge about the situation of refugees in Poland, their current needs and educate them on how to help wisely. Viewers will learn about the possibilities of supporting PAH on online platforms through banners on the websites of the stations belonging to the broadcaster, the tvn24.pl portal and the “Together with Ukraine” campaign, as well as thanks to special social announcements regularly broadcast on the air.

Specialists of the Polish Humanitarian Action will educate about providing help and needs also during webinars for the employees of the Group.

– The situation in Ukraine is very dynamic – we monitor the needs on the spot on an ongoing basis. Thanks to the cooperation with TVN Grupa Discovery, information about our activities and methods of donating to PAH will reach an even larger group of recipients – adds Rafał Grzelewski, head of the Communication and Fundraising team of the Polish Humanitarian Action.
